Touch For Health

Touch For Health Kinesiology had its origin in 1970 when Dr John Thie decided to make practical & effective methods of balancing the body's energy available to the wider practitioner community.

Touch for Health's core concept is the "Triangle of Health" philosophy, this concept is based on humans existing in the mental/emotional ( psychological), Structural ( anatomical ) and Biomechanical ( Physiological ) dimensions.

When the triangle is equilateral, the sides are in balance and the person exists in a state of optimal life-force and health. Many of us are constantly aiming to achieve balance in all these three areas.

Touch for Health in its simple non-invasive manner enables practitioners to influence directly in some way all three sides of the triangle  helping people achieve a balance. The Touch for Health System balances the acupuncture meridians with a variety of simple and effective methods thereby directly addressing the non physical blueprint in a subtle non invasive way.

Muscle Testing is the basis of all Kinesiology treatments and is a non invasive way to assist people to achieve a healthy balance. A Touch for Health Balance tests a minimum of fourteen muscles on the body to determine any imbalances. Each muscle relates to an organ structure/function. Corrections are done on out of balance muscles, balancing the muscle and the corresponding organ structure to alleviate over or under energised areas throughout the body.

The Chinese Five Element principles: Water, Earth, Fire, Metal & Wood are incorporated to bring in emotional & metaphysical meaning and application to each balance. Corrections may include simple meridian holding points, muscle activation moves or lymphatic holding points to name a few.

Goal Setting and intent statements are linked into each balance to enable progress to be mapped and ensure that the focus during each session is the same as the persons reason for seeking the treatment. Sessions are non- invasive and often very educational in nature, you learn about your body's muscles and organ structures.
